Jay's guest is Dr. John Pauley, who will bring some Simpson students to discuss their work on Palmer Amaranth, an invasive plant that is proving a threat to Iowa agriculture.
The Rotary Club of Indianola will be hosting a small fundraiser bike ride just for the heck of it. This year we are not teamed up with the WCLI, so no band or no Silent Auction. Just a Fun Bike Ride.
The Bike Ride starts at 1:00PM at the Brickhouse Tavern, 107 N Buxton Indianola.
The ride consists of a paved trail Ride to Banner Lake State Park where we will have snacks and beverages set up plus plenty of Homemade MicroBrews!
People can continue to ride all the way to Carlisle if they would like. Then we hightail it back to the Brickhouse for more fun and pizza.
It's time to think about signing up for the next RLI session! It is our intention to hold each part – I, II and III – with every session. We want to be sure that you are able to continue your studies as quickly as possible.
Register and you will re-connect with other Rotarians. . . discuss real issues facing you and your Rotary Club. . . gain more insight into what you can do through Rotary.
As a participant of the Rotary Leadership Institute program we want to encourage you to share your experience. Talk to your fellow Rotarians about the program, encourage them to sign up!
Please sign up as early as possible; the next date is September 30 in Iowa City and we only offer a session/part if there are sufficient registrants to provide an effective experience for the participants.
One Rotary Summit is facilitated, interactive and focused on the goals that the clubs, the district and RI are focused on. The Summit provides an opportunity, a forum, a platform for clubs of similar size to discuss methods to meet and/or exceed our goals. Come ready to discuss and learn more about Membership, The Rotary Foundation and Public Image to get the word out about all of the great aspects of Rotary! This is the 3rd year of this format and the attendee responses are very positive!
Click on the location below for details and to REGISTER; there is NO COST to attend, just let us know you'll be there so we can have a meal and seat for you!
