1 Old Business
A.Rotaract/Interact updates - There was great Interact and Rotaract attendance at the Holiday Extravaganza on December 1st. Members from both groups helped in various places during the event. 5 members also participated by carrying the Banner through the lighted parade.
Interact is planning to participate in World Bicycle Relief by setting up a booth at basketball games to raise money for the purchase of 3 bicycles. Cost of each is $147 and the club wants to raise the money by the end of December 2017 to take advantage of the for 1-1 match. A motion by Terry, second by Kelly was approved to help Interact by donating $147 from the club for the Interact club’s help during the National Balloon Classic.
Interact will meet December 21st after School to plan how they intend to ask others in the community for support.
- Foundation Updates (Laura) The Foundation Annual Dinner is scheduled for Friday April 20th at Annelise Winery. Valentine to cater and Peg Geiger will share her experience about her trips to immunize children for polio.
C.Membership Committee Updates - McKinley has created the corporate membership see attached. The next step is to create postcards and business cards with the club message. A motion by Terry, second by Ron to approve the corporate member regulations. Motion carried.
D.Service Committee updates - Ron will provide information about a new facilitation process that helps Rotary Clubs plan for the future. This is a 4-hour event to be held sometime this winter and will guide our club into the future.
E.Terry noted that our Parking Aprons needed to be replaced. Laura indicated that the club has approved the expense of replacing the aprons. Laura and Terry will research and provide options at the next meeting.
F.2 Self-Serve Libraries have been constructed by Steve and Ron. One of them was installed on Hwy 92 near D St. The second one is being installed on North 9th St.

C.Approves new member Jeff Lucas, Josh Weitzel. Motion by Todd, second by Ron. Motion approved.
D.Dave has developed a worksheet to Track members volunteer/service hours (ie: balloons 750 hrs). Worksheets will be provided at each weekly meeting to give our members a chance to update their Rotary Volunteer Service hours.
E.Donations (WeLift) etc. A motion by Todd, second by McKinley was approved to donate $250 to WeLift.
F.A motion by McKinley, second by Terry to match dollar for scholars from 2016. Motion carried. FYI- 2016 our club provided 3-$500 scholarships to Indianola High School Seniors.
G.Our members are encouraged to wear their Rotary pins daily.
H.Ron is working with the City to buy and plant sapling trees, one for each Rotary member. This is one of our RI President’s major goals around the world this Rotary Year.
