Rotary Club of Indianola has been involved with Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) since the 1960's. RYE creates a path for students of all nations an opportunity to study in a different country for one year.

In the past our Club has sponsored an inbound student who is able to study for one year at the Indianola High School.  In 2023, our Club approved an application for outbound studies for a local student to study in France. Norah came home in June 2024 with a new perspective and an appreciation for Rotary and other cultures.

Candidates for Rotary Youth Exchange are students 15-19 years of age and leaders in their schools and communities.

Rotary Youth Exchange requires long-term planning which makes it advisable to contact Rotary Club of Indianola a year or more in advance to plan an outbound experience.

Host Families are the optimal resource needed by our Club to host inbound students from other countries to our community. If you are interested in becoming a Host family for a student who wishes to complete a year of study in the United States, please contact our Club.
