Earlier this year, Rotary Club of Indianola's Board of Directors made a decision to elect a member of our community as a Paul Harris Fellow.
A Rotary Member or Member of the Community joins the Paul Harris Fellowship by contributing $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation, which is Rotary's own charitable organization.
Member's contributions to the Foundation each Rotary Year are saved and then used three years later to fund projects around the world. Those Projects include
- protecting mothers and children
- fresh water
- literacy
- creating a peaceful world
- treating and prevention of diseases
Brenda Easter, Executive Director of the Indianola Chamber of Commerce, embodies the essence of Rotary by helping our community be a better place to live and work.
Brenda is also the Founder and CEO of CTE Hope.
CTE Hope exists to provide hope and support to individuals and families who have suffered from the ill-effects of multiple concussions and traumatic brain injuries. CTE Hope provides education and awareness, and supports the research, diagnosis, management, and treatment necessary to protect individuals from the long-term effects of head traumas and concussions that can lead to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).
For her contributions to this community and her desire to prevent and find solutions to the effects of CTE, Brenda was recently awarded an Honorary Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary Club of Indianola which has contributed $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation in Brenda's name.
