Miles To End Polio
The Challenge
Each November, Rotary General Secretary John Hewko and a team of staff members join Rotary members to bike up to 100 miles in El Tour de Tucson to raise funds for polio eradication. The event is one of the top cycling events in the U.S. and attracts more than 9,000 cyclists each year.
Through Miles to End Polio, Rotary has raised more than $53.3 million for eradication efforts, including matching funds from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
