“Science has broken down the barriers between people, but that merely accentuates our problems, particularly those which arise out of misunderstandings, unless there is also a spiritual growth. For every shortening of the distance between peoples there must be a broadening of human sympathies.”
— New Year — New Thinking, THE ROTARIAN, January 1933
Individuals and businesses who wish to sell concessions during RAGBRAI are invited to a meeting on Tuesday April 23rd beginning at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
You may recall that 2017-18 RI President Ian H.S. Riseley asked that we plant a tree for each Rotarian. It's taken longer than expected but we're ready to fulfill that commitment.
Plan to help our club plant 50 trees on Saturday, April 27 at 9:00 AM where the Great Western Bike Trail intersects with Orilla Road (several miles northwest of Norwalk, near the Outskirtz Bar). David Youngblut from the Warren County Conservation Board will oversee the work.
We are excited to announce that Courage League Sports is going mobile and will be holding our programming at the Indianola Activity Center!
We are excited to share about our program for children and adults with special needs with the Indianola Rotary. As you can see on the attached flyer, we will be in Indianola on specific Monday's this spring and summer and would like to see if we can coordinate with the Rotary calendar to come and join us for an open house.
I would love to connect with you, answer any questions you may have, and look at putting something on the calendar. You can reach me at this email address or the phone number below.
Thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you!
