This week our board approved the adoption of a room at the Heal House of Iowa, (Homelessness Empowerment & Love), the Indianola organization helping address homelessness in our community.
Heal House has purchased the Woods Motel building south on Hwy 65/69, near Good Samaritan, and plans are to start renovation this week.
Our responsibility as a club is $200 cash donation + painting the room + cleaning + decor (bedding, shower curtains, curtains etc) See a list below. We NEED YOUR HELP through donations and labor.
Below are the items that will be needed to complete the room.

Adopt a Room Program
Thank you for considering to adopt a room. You may decorate your room the way you want to; however, there are some requirements.
1) Shower curtain, bath rug, towels and wash cloths
2) Sheet sets, blankets, pillows, pillow covers and bed spreads.
3) Curtains
4) One time fee of $200/single room, $400/double room to help replace the flooring.
5) Folding chair for desk
OPTIONAL
1) Cleaning the room after a guest leaves.
2) Assisting guests to appointments, community meals, job interviews, etc.
3) Assisting with guests laundry
4) $200 for box spring and mattress /single room or $400/double room.
