Rotarians are very much more favorably disposed toward action than they are toward words.” ~Paul P. Harris Rotary Club of Chicago November 1912

State and National Programs are being created and new announcements made each day which are aimed to help businesses manage the impact of the current pandemic. Pay attention to the announcements and reach out to a fellow Rotarian if you believe a program would benefit their business.

This Week's Program

Sinikka is hosting a daily call that has been really meaningful for the participants.  It’s free and open so you can join one day and not the next, or drop in when your schedule permits.

If you or someone you know needs a bright spot during the workday, she invites you to join in their free daily call.

Daily Connections” weekdays at 1:15 CST through at least Friday, May 1.

We’re hitting on relevant, timely topics, with a chance to connect with others virtually and engage in meaningful discussion on a regular schedule.

Here’s the blog link where you’ll find recaps each day, plus the link to the meeting itself

Use this link every day to join the call:     https://zoom.us/s/725159301

The Helping Hand

Helping hand continues to provide basic staple items for families in our community.

We can assume that the demand for items will increase due to the changes made in the service industry during this pandemic.

Please consider helping out by shopping for chili beans, cake mix, ketchup, mustard, ranch dressing, sugar, salt, applesauce, Hamburger Helper and toilet paper.

You can drop your items at

  • Salem Connection, 222 W Salem Ave. during the daytime when a tote will be outside the front door, or
  • at The Helping Hand on the east side of the building which is having curbside delivery during the following hours: M-Sat 8:30-11:00
  • The Food Pantry at Helping Hand is Open to families during these days / times:
        Tuesday      12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
        Wednesday   6 - 7:30 p.m
        Thursday      9 - 11 a.m.
        Saturday       9 - 11 a.m.
